Marissa is a passionate music teacher with an eclectic range of interests, including food, philosophy, science, and music. She is deeply drawn to the piano and is grateful for every lesson she has received in her musical journey. Inspired by her own experiences, Marissa is dedicated to sharing the gift of music with others, helping students explore the magic and beauty that music brings into their lives. Her favorite music era is the 1940s-60s, particularly the works of Duke Ellington. Marissa believes in the power of music to change lives, offering an outlet for both sadness and happiness. She’s also a dog rescue enthusiast and enjoys reading and drawing hands.

Music is a world like no other. Once you understand it, the world changes in the most beautiful way. I play to cope with sadness and to find happiness again. It is my way of life.
